Ramin Shafiai

Ramin Shafiai was born in 1971 in Teheran and moved with his family to Germany in 1980. He was interested in creative activities from an early age on. After continued experiences in photography he also started to work as a SFX make-up artist in the late 1990s with the video production “Kinder der Nacht”. Partly autodidact, partly trained on-the-job by experts Markus Metzler and Olaf Ittenbach, he later teamed with genre directors like Heiko Bender, Ulrich Fleischer, Timo Rose, and Wolf Wolff on several feature films such as “Virus Undead” (2007), “Blood Bound” and “Lord of the Undead” (2003). For “Beyond Remedy”, Ramin took also over the role of SFX supervisor. His motto: “You want blood? Call me!”

Ramin Shafiai is living in Cologne.

 

Olaf Ittenbach

Olaf Ittenbach was born in 1969 in Fürstenfeldbruck. He is a renowned German horror-movie director and SFX artist. Before creating his first film, “Black Past” (1989), he used to work as a dental technician. Olaf has directed a number of often explicit horror-films, among them such classics as “Legion of the Dead”, “Beyond the Limits” (2003) and “Chain Reaction” (2006). He also created the special effects for the big-budget genre films “BloodRayne” (2005) and “Seed” (2008), both directed by Uwe Boll. His latest film is “Dard Divorce” (2007).
